The Association of Environmental Consultants and Companies of Malaysia, in short AECCOM, was formed in 1992, with the encouragement and support of the then Director General of the Department of Environment, Dato' Dr. Abu Bakar Jaafar.
The primary purpose is to look after the interests of its members drawn from all sectors of the environmental business. Current priorities are to establish a link with the regulatory authorities as well as privatisation concessionaires and industries to enable its members to play meaningful role.
